Education towards a knowledge based economy (WP3)
The integration of disciplines and application areas requires new curricula and training concepts for the highly interdisciplinary field of nanobiotechnology. Significant demands will be placed on continuing education, technical training, and on interdisciplinary cross-training in clinically/medically relevant applications of nanobiotechnologies (translational component). Key objectives of this activity are:
- Analysis of existing courses and concepts to identify successes, failures, and best practices in nanobiotechnology-related Masters educational programmes
- Analysis of industry, research organisations, and hospital needs for nanobiotechnology education/training, based on interviews with key stakeholders
- Establishing minimum educational and training requirements in nanobiotechnology for a future EU infrastructure in nanobiotechnology
