Nanobiotechnology research infrastructures (WP1)
To define criteria for an ideal European Infrastructure for Nanobiotechnology the objectives of this activity are:
- In depth analysis of research infrastructures of European relevance, aimed to establish a definition and evaluation criteria of a key European nanobio infrastructure and its impact in R&D.
- Identification of existing key infrastructures in regional and national clusters in EU which can contribute to the EU capacity in nanobiotechnology and benchmarking of top infrastructures versus top class nanobiotechnology clusters/ organizations worldwide.
- Analysis of nanobiotechnology regional clusters in terms of organization, development and activities. Conceptual thoughts on cluster alliances, inter-regional integration, efficient utilization of resources and regulation of access systems.
- Highlighting of interactions with other fields such as biotechnology or medical technologies infrastructures to support an interdisciplinary approach in three main sectors: nanomedicine, environmental and food.
